Ormiston James Ltd was established in 2002 as the trading company for Richard Lambert. Prior to this  Richard had many years experience as a main contractors quantity surveyor working for major engineering & construction contractors. Since forming Ormiston James Richard has been in constant demand and has enjoyed repeat business from major national contractors.

Richard’s career progression as a main contractors Quantity Surveyor has enabled him to get a good grasp of technical construction related issues, this coupled with widespread dispute related experience and additional legal training enables Richard to give broad well balanced advice on both non contentious and contentious issues.

It is very often invaluable for our clients to have support that balances the experience of the commercial cut and thrust of contracting along with good solid legal understanding.  

Richard is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Society of Construction Law and a member of the Adjudication Society.

Richard has experience of all major standard forms of contract, it is of particular note that Richard has  experience of the NEC family of contracts having worked on projects using the major options the contract provides, going back more than a decade.
